The Synth

From TVSWiki

The Synth is a synthetic test unit equipped with limited artificial intelligence. Originally designed as a clone of the once-renowned superheroine Synthia, she was the product of a series of morally dubious experiments led by the Corporation's CEO. These cloning trials—meant to replicate Synthia’s powers and consciousness—ultimately failed, resulting in her death.

In the final attempt, Synthia’s mind was copied into a synthetic body. Though the transfer appeared successful on a technical level, no trace of the original Synthia's consciousness has ever surfaced. Disappointed by the outcome, and viewing the Synth as little more than a malfunctioning echo, the Corporation repurposed her as a disposable test subject. Since then, she’s been used to trial experimental devices, machinery, and interrogation techniques.

However, during one such test, an anomaly occurred: The Synth encountered an older version of herself from a previous assembly. Through this encounter, she began to uncover fragments of her origin—and a growing awareness of her past life. Alongside this awakening, latent abilities reminiscent of Synthia’s original powers began to manifest, hinting that more of the heroine survived within her than anyone expected.

Due to frequent mishandling, breakdowns, and stress from the experiments, the Corporation maintains an assembly line of replacement Synth units, swapping them out whenever one becomes too damaged or uncooperative. Most units are erased and recycled.
